The agency wraps up 2018 in style with the opening of an office in Geneva.
Chavanod (Annecy), 21 December 2018 – Amaïa unveils its new office in Switzerland, consolidating the close ties it has forged there for many years. Located in Geneva, the new premises meet the clients’ requests for local solutions.
Since the agency opened its doors in 2004, Switzerland has always held a key position in the company’s strategy. Today, over 700 Swiss clients have already entrusted Amaïa with their translation projects. The watchmaking sector is the spearhead of the Swiss industry. It also represents a substantial percent of Amaïa’s turnover, making it a benchmark translation agency for Swiss watchmakers. In addition, the agency’s portfolio of clients has expanded to include the pharmaceutical and tourisms sectors in its areas of specialisation, thanks to investment in new digital technology.
“We have been building a unique relationship with our Swiss clients for 15 years now and we are aware of the crucial part they play in the success of the business”, noted Elodie Fusaro, Managing Director. “Our project managers have developed tangible expertise in the Swiss market and bring real added value in the management and follow-up of translation requests. The establishment of the Geneva office was fuelled by strong demand and was the next logical step of this long collaboration.”
“Amaïa’s recent affiliation with Tradutec enabled it to shift up a gear in terms of its development and resources. Working alongside the entire team in Annecy, we were able to finalise projects that had been in the pipeline for several months”, said Eric Bonnefous, CEO of Tradutec. ”A presence in Switzerland is, without a doubt, a strategic advantage for the Group, especially in strengthening our position as Europe’s leading translation agency.”
Following exceptional turnover in 2018, Amaïa must now pursue its commitment to excellence to achieve its set ambitions for 2019.
